Supply List
You may rent all supplies for any class for $5.  Call to reserve before class.
Instructor will have some supplies on hand to purchase.

Watercolor Palette—
Tube paints and a covered palette with a large mixing area.
Squeeze large amount in palette wells in the following order.

Lemon Yellow (no nickel)
Deep Yellow (Indian Yellow)
Permanent Rose
(other reds, crimsons or rose madders will not work)
Ultramarine Blue
Pthalo Blue
Indigo

These colors are the only colors used in class.  Don't buy a set; it will contain
mostly premixed colors that we can't use and only one or two that we can use.

Brushes—
Synthetics or blends are fine, but make sure they are designated as
watercolor brushes.
Most brushes sold in sets are too small and usually very poor quality when wet. Best buys are brushes such as these:

#8, #10, #14 rounds   (Loew-Cornell #7020 has a great point and hold water well))
3/4 or 1” flat brush     (Loew-Cornell #7550 is superior to most flats)
Wide (3”) cheap flat brush for wetting paper
A small bristle brush (1/4” flat) for scrubbing
Natural sponge,  great for scrubbing out or lifting.

Paper—Arches 140# Cold Press Watercolor Paper  (22 x 30 full sheet cut into 1/4 sheets) I will have this for $1.25
           or these brands:
  Windsor Newton
or Lana
(NO Strathmore paper or pads. You will not like this paper.)

Other—

Pencil
Kneaded Eraser (no other erasers should be used on watercolor paper)
Paper Towels (softer ones are better)
Water Container (margarine containers or larger)
Masking Tape (no colors, please. Cheap stuff is fine)
Paper support, 1/4 sheet size of non-porous board.  I will have these for $2.
